Style shift

Thu Jul 6, 2006, 5:44 PM
so lately I've been in a bit of a style shift, probably reflective of an emotional one as well. Fewer bright flashy colors, large, brash strokes, less haste, and a bit more detail and introspection. Quieter colors, because I'm getting quieter as I age, and just a little more attention to the details in my life. It's still about the process, though, the emotional release of focusing on something else that allows me true introspection. I focus best when distracted.

Perhaps it's being in love that's calmed me so much. I'm settling down in so many senses of the word.
